Over the past 16 years I have had my fair share of trying professional products that were great and others, just weren't. What makes a product amazing, effective and just downright fabulous? The product ingredients and the companies approach.

A skincare companies approach is basically why they are doing what they are doing and how. As the consumer this may not seem like that big of a deal, but trust me when I say it is crucial to know this!

Epionce is a skincare company designed and formulated by Dr. Carl Thornfeldt, a dermatologist who focuses on helping to heal and repair the skins barrier function. Ok, ok Andrea in English please! The skins barrier function is responsible for keeping our skin healthy and protected from outside harm, toxicity, damage, infections, chemicals and allergens. If our skins barrier function is out of whack and just not working properly, it's a perfect storm for accelerated aging, acne, dryness and irritation and so many more skin issues.

Epionce is a perfect blend of science and technology, with over 20 years of clinical research and botanicals. With products gentle enough to tackle fine lines and wrinkles to hyperpigmentation to acne. The Epionce formulas are fragrance free, paraben free, sulfate free and gluten-free. And they do not test in animals!

I am a huge fan of the creamy cleanser because of my wickedly dry skin. I know that not everyone is a fan, but Epionce has 4 cleansers to choose from for several different skin types and conditions. I loved the way my skin felt after cleansing with the Milky Lotion Cleanser! I wasn't dry, chapped or tight immediately after drying. It was extremely effective at taking off my makeup and not irritating around the eyes. With apple and date fruit extract along with glycerin, my skin was incredibly refreshed and dewy.

The Intense Defense Serum is like a multivitamin for your face. Who doesn't love that?! Its lightweight formula sits beautifully underneath a moisturizer. With Vitamins A, B, C, D and E combined with a powerhouse of botanicals like yarrow, raspberry seed, melon fruit and shiitake mushroom to name a few, I was honestly able to see an improvement in my texture after a week of using the serum.

If I had to pick a favorite product from this line up I would say it would be the Renewal Facial Cream. Its rich formula is extremely lightweight making it not greasy or heavy whatsoever. The combination of the Intense Defense Serum and the Renewal Cream gives the skin such a lovely glow. I have been using this at night before bed and even in the morning my skin is still glowing. Safflower, flax, apple, orange and avocado extracts (to name a few), its no wonder the Renewal Cream is a fan favorite. In clinical trials, the Renewal Cream has been shown to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without the use of retinoids.

I was a wee bit skeptical about the Daily Shield Tinted SPF 50 because of the consistency. But I definitely didn't need to be! Its mousse like texture glides over the skin melting into a cosmetically elegant matte finish. Smoothing over the color and texture of the skin giving it a primer like finish. There were days I would only use the Daily Shield instead of my powder foundation! Win win! If you've watched my IGTV video on SPF, we know that the number of the SPF isn't as important as the ingredients giving its protection right? With 4.8% Titanium Dioxide and 9.3% Zinc Oxide I can say that this is a perfect option for a daily moisturizer!

The price point for the Epionce line is comparable to other professional lines. The beauty of a professional skincare line such as Epionce, is that since the ingredients are so amazing and actually affective, you use less product. You're not over loading your skin with layers of the same product or pumping multiple pumps to get the results you need. Therefore the products themselves will last you months, yes you heard me, MONTHS. I used 1 pump for the cleanser and serum, 1 pump of the daily SPF for my entire face and neck, and I dipped my index finger in the renewal cream (not scooping it) to get my whole face and neck covered.

Each product smelled fantastic and equally felt as fantastic. For a gentle, effective approach at targeting many different skin types and conditions, Epionce is top notch.
