I have always been a sucker for "fancy soaps". So when I first found Primal Elements almost 15 years ago I was hooked. For starters their bar soaps are HUGE and lasts so long! But Primal Elements proprietary soap formula is vegan, sodium lauryl sulfate free and paraben free. They are made with vegetable glycerin so your skin feels silky smooth instead of dry and dehydrated compared to standard soaps. And the scents are naturally derived and made by hand in small batches for optimum fragrance. Winning!

New to the Primal Elements family is their facial skin care line! So of course I was intrigued to try it, and the company was extremely kind to let me do so.

The Plant Based Facial Cleanser is a gel cleanser that gives a luxurious lather and cleanses thoroughly. Its blended with vitamins and botanicals to give a deep cleanse without drying the skin while adding hydration. The clementine scent is so mild and so refreshing! Individuals that have combination, combo/oily, oily or acne prone skin would benefit from this cleanser the most. This cleanser is sulfate free, paraben free and fully biodegradable.

The Nourishing Facial Oil is a combination of shea, coconut and argan oil which gives a unique blend of antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids to bring a healthy glow and rejuvenation to the skin. This lightweight formula is user friendly and not greasy at all. It sits beautifully under a moisturizer. and is fragrance free! All skin types can benefit from the Nourishing Facial Oil, even acne prone skin.

Hyaluronic Acid Gel Cream is my favorite product from the line. The lightweight moisturizer has a very unique consistency and texture that glides on the skin but fully penetrates and deeply hydrates with a feather light feel. And not for nothing EVERYONE needs hyaluronic acid in their routine. The clementine essential oil scent is so soothing and naturally derived.

The Blue Matcha Jet Lag Mask is a clay based mask made with purifying minerals. Zinc, magnesium, and copper deliver a soothing cellular rejuvenation with antioxidants to protect and restore against anti-free radicals. The slight warming effect wakes the skin up helping to de-puff and leaving you with a killer glow.

The one thing I love about the Primal Elements facial line is that it would be great for acne prone skin. Especially acne that is inflamed and oily. It would pair well with the use of topical prescriptions. Since topicals dry out the skin so much, its important to stay hydrated and moisturized but remain gentle and effective. And that's why Primal Elements would be PERFECT for acne prone skin too! The price point is fantastic as well! Each product is around $21, the masks are $10 and it give you 4 applications, maybe 5. More reasons to love Primal Elements!
